Calcutta HC says GST Portal Placement Cannot Defeat Natural Justice

The taxpayer did not respond to a GST show cause notice because it was uploaded only under the "Additional Notice and Orders" tab and no separate intimation was given. The High Court held that this violated natural justice, quashed the adjudication, appellate and consequential bank attachment orders, and directed fresh adjudication on merits after hearing the taxpayer.
