CBDT Extends Tax Exemption to NCCL Core Settlement Guarantee Fund

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), through Notification No. 78/2026 dated 7 July 2026, has notified the Core Settlement Guarantee Fund (CSGF) established by National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) for the purposes of Section 10(23EE) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. 

Although the Income-tax Act, 1961 has been repealed by the Income-tax Act, 2025, the notification has been issued by invoking the transitional savings provisions.
