CBIC digitises courier refunds

CBIC has launched an ECCS Refund Module enabling electronic filing, processing and tracking of refund claims relating to courier imports under Section 27 of the Customs Act, 1962. 

The new system introduces end-to-end digital processing, defined timelines, online communication and a post-audit framework, with a transition period for manual filings until 30 September 2026.
