CBIC revises tariff values

Executive Summary

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), through Notification No. 63/2026-Customs (N.T.) dated 15 July 2026, has substituted the tariff value tables prescribed under Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.). The revised values apply from 16 July 2026 and alter the customs valuation base for notified commodities, thereby affecting the customs duty payable on imports.
