CESTAT upholds Export Status

The CESTAT, Chandigarh, set aside the order denying refund of accumulated CENVAT credit. 

The Tribunal held that the appellant was not an "intermediary" under Rule 2(f) of the Place of Provision of Services Rules, 2012 since it rendered BPO services directly to its overseas contracting entity on a principal-to-principal basis.
