Consumer Complaint Against Advocate Not Maintainable Andhra Pradesh HC

The Andhra Pradesh High Court held that a consumer complaint against an advocate for alleged professional negligence or deficiency in legal services is not maintainable under the Consumer Protection Act. 

Relying squarely on the Supreme Court's decision in Bar of Indian Lawyers, the Court held that the relationship between an advocate and a client constitutes a contract of personal service.
