Delhi HC directs immediate defreezing of bank account

The Delhi High Court, by its order dated 6 July 2026, disposed of two writ petitions filed by M/s Viraaj Steels after noting that the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) had already withdrawn the provisional attachment of the petitioner's bank account under Section 83 of the CGST Act. 

The Court directed Axis Bank to immediately restore the account if it had not already done so, observing that the principal grievance no longer survived following the Department's restoration order.
