GSTAT Ghaziabad Bench Highlights Common Filing Defects and Grants Opportunity to Rectify Appeal Deficiencies

The GST Appellate Tribunal (“GSTAT”), Ghaziabad Bench, has issued an important procedural order identifying several defects in an appeal filed before the Tribunal and granting the appellant an opportunity to rectify the deficiencies within a prescribed timeline.

The order is significant as it provides practical insight into the scrutiny standards currently being applied by GSTAT Registries and highlights common procedural shortcomings that may result in objections during appeal processing. 

The Tribunal identified deficiencies relating to unsigned adjudication documents, non-payment of mandatory pre-deposit, inadequate court fee payment, and failure to furnish English translations of documents as required under the GSTAT Procedure Rules.
