Kerala HC upholds RBIs power to supersede cooperative bank board

The Kerala High Court, held that Section 36AAA of the Banking Regulation Act does not require the RBI to grant a pre-decisional hearing before superseding the Board and affirmed the RBI's authority to replace an elected managing committee where warranted in the interests of depositors and sound banking administration.
