NCLT Clears JSW Merger Process

The NCLT, Mumbai admitted the scheme application for the proposed amalgamation of Piombino Steel Limited into JSW Steel Limited. 

The Tribunal dispensed with meetings of several classes of shareholders and creditors based on statutory consents and existing judicial precedents, while directing JSW Steel Limited to convene a meeting of its equity shareholders before the Scheme can proceed further.
