Wheat Export Realisation

The Government of India has permitted export of an additional 25 Lakh Metric Tonnes (LMT) of wheat despite the existing “Prohibited” status under the export policy. This relaxation is conditional and will be operationalised through modalities to be specified separately by DGFT.

The move reflects a calibrated approach—retaining export restrictions while allowing limited outbound supply to meet strategic and international commitments.
